The National Center for Quality Assurance of Anesthesia, Anesthesiology Branch of Beijing Medical Association and Quality Resources International (QRI) launched a collaborative demonstration project this week designed to improve patient safety in China.
Healthcare professionals representing Top Tier hospitals from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) attended a conference titled “Improve Healthcare Quality, Ensure Patient Safety”. This program is supported by Baxter Healthcare Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
The conference inaugurated a 1-year project focusing on some of the most challenging Anesthesia and Surgical topics for Hospitals in China and establishing innovative strategies in the areas of Process Improvement, Surgical Site Infection Prevention, Safe Medication Management in the Operating Room and Patient Safety in the Post-Anesthesia Recovery Unit. The most advanced tools and strategies to improve patient safety and quality of care will be implemented throughout the project.
